My family started CALPAK in 1989, for one simple reason: to make quality bags at accessible prices. When I joined the company in 2013, we already had a strong foundation in travel goods, but there was one problem: I didn’t see myself or my friends reflected in our products—or anywhere else in the travel industry. Nothing out there fit our tastes or lifestyles. So, with a new customer in mind, I set out to evolve our family’s brand, and create items based in thoughtful, modern design and self-expression. The items I wanted, but couldn’t find. I'm always excited to hear which products our customers love, and what they want to see next—and I can only hope to keep pushing boundaries, and getting better with age. It’s been a great 30 years—thanks for going places with us.
